Let's begin with the most beloved thing when it comes to kids: sweets! Is there any kid in this world who would say 'no' to sweets?! I haven't heard of any yet! Here are some recipes for cookies that are not only delicious, but also very eye-catching. Try to restrain your kids (and yourself) from eating them all! :)
I guess you already know what kids are attracted by the most: bright colors. So, here are some interesting, splashy desserts!
Those incredibly decorative nest-like cookies will certainly be a hit! Besides, you can engage your kids in making those! Just make you sure you make lots of them! :)
Those on the photo on the left are chocolate-flavored, but you can easily customize the flavor and by that the color of the "nest". Check out the recipe here for more info. |
You have all the elements: rind, juicy pink flesh, even seeds! I bet all of your guests will love them! It's a no-bake recipe, so here's one more chance for your kids to take part in preparing their own party.
As for the flavor, I have to say it has nothing to do with watermelon, at least if you follow the recipe I posted here! It is rather a mixed-fruit, with strawberries prevailing, but if you make some minor changes, those truffles can be a real tiny mini cute watermelons! |

Speaking of unusual and noticeable shapes and "designs", you can also try the amazing egg-like truffles. Those coconut-flavored sweets will be a total smash on your party! No-bake recipe that can be easily made vegan and dairy-free, if you mind. And both vegan and "regular" versions are gluten-free.

And last but not least - muffins! You can always make muffins! Kids love muffins!
So far, I've posted some delicious fruit-flavored muffins you'll absolutely adore: some divine orange-carrot ones, succulent apple-walnut, sweet-smelling and always welcome pumpkin with chocolate, an exotic tangerine, or maybe some aromatic cinnamon with raisins... Hum... Give me all of them! :) Note that some of the recipes given make classic cakes that should be cut into bars before serving, but you can turn them into muffins with no effort! |
|
So, you can try some simple, but very tasty cornbread, then some soft zucchini or potato muffins, or rich and colorful muffins with tons of veggies!
You can also prepare some savoury cookies: some cute polka-dot poppy seed biscuits, or crunchy homemade crackers, some aromatic cheese and olives cookies or some no-bake peanut truffles.
I would like to finish this list with a nice, soft pastry with rich, juicy filling of your choice (sweet or savoury). You can see the recipe and some filling ideas on this link. |
Hope it's helpful!
Enjoy and bon appétit!
