This recipe, or it's better to say idea, came up after experimenting with some common ingredients and resulted with nice, colorful, tasteful pizza picturing the four seasons with all its shades and flavors. And it has barely something to do with the original Pizza Quattro Stagione recipe - it's something completely new and different! Plus, it's vegetarian!
Each "season" is loaded with veggies, some with dairy as well, which makes this pizza a real treat full of flavors! Each quarter's topping can be delicious on its own as a separate pizza, but all four at once make the circle complete.
As you can see, there are no precise quantities of most of the ingredients needed: it all depends on your taste! However, do not cover the crust with too much of everything so it can bake and not be doughy. This is what I used for one medium-sized pizza:

- Prepare your favorite pizza dough. Of course, you can use some store-bought or make some on your own. Perhaps you will like this easy and quick no-yeast dough, or the interesting aromatic one, or this totally unusualcrumbly one.
- Now, the sauce. Spread some sour cream on three quarts of the crust (spring, summer, winter) and some tomato sauce or ketchup on the fourth one (autumn).
- It's time for some sprinkling and coloring!
- summer: shredded spinach, corn and diced red bell pepper, picturing the colorful summer gardens, some sesame seeds instead of sand and a lice of onion for the bright sun...
You can sprinkle everything with some pepper and red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
- autumn: grated yellow cheese, corn and diced red bell pepper and you've got the magnificent colors of autumn... - winter: crushed Feta cheese or bunches of cottage cheese and some sliced button mushrooms and the all-white snow party is done! |

4. Sprinkle everything with salt and pepper and bake into a preheated oven at 200°C for approx. 10 minutes, or until the edges start getting light brownish color.
As you can see, the quarters with sour cream get kind of a translucent layer after baking, just as this dairy pizza I posted some time ago, which is really cool! |
