Before I continue with the preparation steps, let me say that paprika is not part of the original recipe, but I prefer to always add it as it gives the dish a more attractive color. You can omit it if you want.
Directions:
- Finely chop onion. Slice the carrot and peel and dice the potato. Cut each string beans into 2 or 3 pieces, that is, into bite-sized pieces.
- Put oil into a deep pot and heat it over medium fire. Add the onions and cook stirring often, until they become soft and translucent. Then, stir in carrots and potatoes and continue cooking for a couple of minutes, until potatoes get a thin skin. Spice with some salt and pepper to taste. At the end, add the string beans, toss and pour in 1200 ml of hot water. When the mixture comes to a boil, reduce to the lowest heat, cover the pot and cook until all vegetables are soft.
