As for the pizza base, I used a doubled dose of this no-yeast dough recipe, which I strongly recommend, but you can use any other pizza crust as well.
So, here are the ingredients for the topping:
|
1. Roll out the pizza crust and put it into a suitable baking pan. When using a fresh dough, I prefer to put it on a parchment paper, but this is optional.
2. Spread the sour cream over the crust.
3. Combine ketchup, curry and ginger powder and pepper. I usually use 1 level teaspoon of curry, 1/2 teaspoon of ginger and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper, and I get a discreetly but yet noticeable spiciness. However, you can adjust the quantity of these spices to your taste.
4. Spread the spiced sauce over the sour cream and sprinkle with some dried oregano.
|
5. Generously sprinkle with grated yellow cheese. I learned from a professional pizza master that it's best to put yellow cheese right after the tomato sauce, as this will make it melt without drying it, as it would be the case if put on the top.
Cover with sliced or grated deli meat (I prefer grated, myself) and sliced mushrooms and finish with crushed white cheese. |
And how to cut pizza properly? Well, take a look at the picture below... I think it explains it clearly enough. :)
Enjoy and bon appétit!
