Even though it is commonly served with meat, nafora can be served with other meals as well - it can enhance potato dishes and vegetable stews too. Believe it or not, it is also a wonderful snack.
The name "nafora" is most probably borrowed from another nafora - a term used for pieces of sacramental bread used in Orthodox churches. While the second is considered food for the soul and has a great spiritual value, the first one, the one presented in this post, can be called a real hedonistic pleasure as each bite is crispy and soft in the same time, wrapped in creamy, salty, aromatic cheesy cream.
The preparation of nafora won't take you more than 10 minutes, so make sure you have it on your table the next time you make some barbecue!
