I prepared it the very same day and we were absolutely thrilled, so I decided to share it with you here. I had to make some changes in the original recipe to adjust it to our taste. Besides, it asked for Cajun seasoning, which I couldn't find in the stores nearby, so I had to make my own mix. And here it is: the changed version of Jambalaya Pasta with a recipe for Cajun mix... :)
These are the ingredients needed to make 6 servings:
- 250 g macaroni (uncooked)
- 250 g chicken breast
- 250 g sausages
- 1 medium-sized onion OR 4-5 scallions
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 bell peppers (fresh or pickled)
- 100 g yellow cheese
- 200 ml cooking cream
- 500 ml chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons oil
for the Cajun seasoning mix:
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 1/2 teaspoons sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
First, prepare the Cajun mix. Combine all the spices listed above. You won't need the whole quantity now, so you can store the mix in a jar for some other time... This is how the Cajun mix looks like:

Serve warm, sprinkled with some chopped scallions or parsley.
Enjoy and bon appétit!
