When preparing meals, I always prefer using fresh or frozen vegetables rather than canned, but when it comes to this recipe, canned beans are a perfect choice, as spending hours on cooking so few beans is spending time and energy in vain. :)

And this is the complete list of ingredients you'll need:
|
- Cut meat into bite-sized pieces. Peel and finely chop tomatoes. Finely chop onion and garlic.
If using fresh grains, cook them separately or together, as you please, without using any seasonings. - Put oil in a pot and heat it over high fire. Add chicken and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring often, until it get a nice brownish crust. Take it out using a slotted spoon, and set aside until further use.
- Now, reduce fire to medium and add onions into the same pot. Cook until soft and translucent. Add garlic, and after a couple of seconds add tomatoes and continue cooking for a few more minutes. Then, stir in beans, peas, corn and meat. Season with pepper and some more salt to taste.
- Pour 500 ml of stock or water into the pot, and let it simmer until meat has softened completely and you've got the desired thickness. Add some more liquid during cooking, if necessary.
Serve warm, with somefresh salad of your choice.
Enjoy and bon appétit!
