You'll need just a couple of common ingredients and not more than half an hour to make those truffles. Note that the quantity of ingredients listed below will give you approx. 30 medium-sized truffles. So, prepare the following:

- As for the coffee, you can use any type of it - your favorite! You'll need the liquid only, so keep this in mind if you're using unfiltered coffee.
- Instead of sugar, you can use 1 tablespoon of honey.
- You can use any kind of shortbread cookies, biscuits, speculaas, even choco biscuits.
- You can add 1 teaspoon of coffee powder for an even more intense coffee flavor, or put a piece of walnut or hazelnut in each truffle which will give them a richer flavor.
Shaping is easy: take like 1 teaspoonful of the mixture and make some flattened oval shape. Then, gently press the middle with a toothpick or a wooden skewer to make that line coffee grains have.
In this case, you won't need to roll the candies - no additional decoration is needed.
As you can see on the photos below, those coffee grains appear darker in color than the truffles above. It's because I used different type of coffee for the mixture - I made those with Turkish style coffee.
