This new one has a far stronger aroma and flavor due to the use of other kinds of cheese, and spinach also participates with its "earthy" tang.
Unlike the Baked Cheese, this one doesn't have to be arranged in layers. All you have to do is to mix all of the ingredients and divide between baking pans. It saves some time, for sure!
I've tried this dish with two different additional flavorings so far, and I really can't decide which one I like better. The first one is with crushed red pepper flakes which gave the dish a smokey zest and beautiful contrast of colors. The second one is with roasted peanuts, and it was totally different from the previous! It was crunchy and even heartier, with wonderful nutty aroma. In short, you will enjoy whichever option you choose!
I would recommend you to bake this dish in small, single-serving bowls or molds, though making one big pan of it won't make it less tasty! You can serve it as a hearty main meal, or as tasty and strong dip.
