I believe mashed potatoes are quite a common side dish for meatballs, but this meal makes some kind of an "upgrade" to it - adds up some wonderful mix of spices and nuts that give such an unexpectedly delicious twist.
Since this is more like an idea on how to serve meatballs in a new way, I won't post a recipe for the meatballs or the mashed potatoes. You can use your favorite (or even some leftovers). The only thing you should pay attention to is that meatballs are not too spicy or seasoned.
I'm usually using those single-serving dishes for baking, but any baking dish will do. You can bake it in a bigger pan and divide into servings later.
And this is what you need for one serving:

Directions:
- Cook or fry the meatballs. They are going to spend just a couple of minutes in the oven which won't be enough for them to cook through.
- Spread the mashed potatoes on the bottom of the baking pan. There's no need to grease it.
Arrange the meatballs, pressing them a bit into the mashed potatoes. Put as many as you can, leaving some space between them.
3. Generously cover with grated cheese. Then, sprinkle the hazelnuts, the sesame seeds, and finish with some taco seasoning.
4. Bake into a preheated oven at 200°C just until cheese melts and starts getting brownish crust.
Serve with some fresh salad.
Enjoy and bon appétit!
