- Heat oil into a pan and add minced meat. Season with some pepper and a pinch of salt and cook over medium fire, stirring occasionally, until it loses its pink color.
- In a bowl, combine sauerkraut, cheese and cooked meat. Then, stir in mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard. Also, add the prepared horseradish if you like the strong and pungent flavor.
Season with some more salt and pepper, if necessary, but be careful, as sauerkraut can be quite salted. - Spread the mixture into a suitable baking pan. There is no need for greasing the pan. Make sure the layer is not thinner than 4 cm. It would be even better if you divide it between several smaller baking dishes so that each dish makes one serving.
