It's quite a generous recipe, and it doesn't ask for much of your time, so it's perfect for the moments when you need to make a lunch for many people.
This is what you'll need to make 6 generous servings:
|
- Finely chop onions. Grate the carrot. Shred the cabbage.
- Bring some water to boiling, add 1 teaspoon of salt and the rice. Cook it until soft and tender. Drain and set aside until further use.
- Meanwhile, put oil into a deep pan and heat it over medium fire. Add onions and cook until soft and translucent. Add carrots, and after a minute stir in ground meat. Season with some pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until meat loses its pink color and starts browning. Then, add sour cabbage and some salt, but be careful, as cabbage is already salted. Cook for a couple more minutes, then stir in paprika and remove from fire.
4. While meat filling and rice are cooking, peel the potatoes and slice them. Then arrange them to cover the bottom of a baking pan. The one I used was 25x25cm. Sprinkle with some salt.
5. Spread the meat filling on top of potatoes. Then spread cooked rice. 6. Whisk the eggs in a bowl. Add sour cream, milk and a pinch of salt and stir to get a smooth mixture. Pour it evenly over the rice. |

Cut into squares and serve warm, topped with some more sour cream, or with somefresh salad.
Enjoy and bon appétit!
