And here's what you'll need to make a delicious Fatty Tater:

- Peel the potatoes, add some water and cook them until soft and tender. Drain them, and then mash them roughly using a potato masher or a fork. They don't have to be finely mashed and creamy as when making a purée, but just crushed. Add some salt and pepper to taste and set aside.
- Meanwhile, chop the onions.
Put lard into a pan and heat it over medium fire. Add onions and cook them until soft. When it's done, add the paprika, stir and remove from fire. - Pour the onions altogether with the fat into the crushed potatoes and combine. Add some more salt and pepper, if needed. And that's all!
Serve warm with some fresh salad, sour cream or yogurt. As I mentioned above, it can be served as a side dish with roasted, fried or cooked meat.
I personally, enjoy it the most with yogurt.
